On page 3 of 14 of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle, April 11, 1860, top section:

Corporation Notice – Sale of Property in the City of Brooklyn for the unpaid Taxes for the year 1858. – NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the owners of the premises hereafter mentioned, and to all others whom it may concern, that in pursuance of as Act of the Legislature of the State of New York, passed April 17^th 1854, entitled an “Act to consolidate the cities of Brooklyn and Williamsburgh and the town of Bushwick into one municipal government, and to incorporate the same.” And the Acts amendatory thereof, authorizing the Collector of Taxes and Assessments of said City to sell lands for non-payment of Taxes, at public auction, the following parcels of property will be sold by the said Collector the amount of tax, with default and expenses, on Thursday, the fifth day of July, 1860, at the office of the Collector of Taxes and Assessments, in the City Hall of said City, at 11 o’clock, A. M., unless the same be paid to the said Collector at his office on or before the above named day.
