John Thomas Kaighin of Ballagarrett, Bride, Isle of Man

John Thomas was actually born in 1862. He was christened 9 July 1862 and died 12 June 1954. This photograph can be found in the book Kirk Bride Miscellany by Constance Radcliffe. He was one of the last of the native Manx speakers. To hear him speaking Manx from a recording in 1950, click here.
