Michael of 20th of November 1701: The last
will and testament of Jon Kaighin who committed his soul to God and his body
to Christian burial Item I
bequeath to my daughter Ellinor Kaighin twenty pounds sterling after
the English value. Item I give
to my grandchild John Lace one loughton coat and
one s--------- coat with silk buttons to it. Item I
bequeath to my daughter Joney Lace 12 shillings legacy. Item I leave
to my son Charles one coat Item I leave
to my son in law Dan: Lace one coat Item I give
to my daughter in law Mary Kaighin one pewter voider And lastly I
constitute and appoint my loving wife my true and lawful executrix of all the rest of my goods moveable and unmoveable
whatsoever. Testis John Shittleton Jurati Hugh Cannell The executor
sworn in court in form of law Pledge to secure the office and pay all debts
