Catherine Kaighin als Cannell, 1765

This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Catherine Kaighin

alias Cannell of the parish of KK Michael who departed this life about the latter end of July last 1765 being of sound mind and memory at the declaring hereof some considerable time before her decease.

First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.

Item She left and bequeathed to her daughter Catherine the wife of

Daniel Cannell two quilted petticoats, a bed gown, and a smock.

Item she left and bequeath to her daughter Leonora the wife of Philip Cowley a gown, petticoat, and a smock.

Item she left to her son John Kaighin five shillings of the money in his hands due from him to her.

Lastly she nominated, constituted, ordained, and appointed her daughter Mary Kaighin sole and full executrix of all the rest of her goods chattels and effects of what kind or nature so ever.

At a Chapter Court holden at KK Michael Oct 25 1765 The executrix is sworn in court in form of law and has given pledges for payment of debts and legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
