The Last Will & Testament of John Kaighin of the parish of KK Michael who departed this life about ninth of June 1740 and being of perfect mind & memory at the making hereof ~

First He committed his Soul to God and body to Christian burial ~

Item He left & bequeathed to his loving wife Alice Kaighin als Boddaugh his part of their best house as Legacy ~

Item. He left to his son $ heir John Kaighin his part of the Crop & Team & Husbandry Gears as legacy and desired his sd son to give unto his Brother & Sistor Henry & Margt Kaighin twenty shilling in Case it should please him to do so ~

Item. Six pence each to the witnesses of this will ~

And lastly he nominated & appointed his three children viz. Henry, Cath and Margt Kaighin sole & joint Exes of all the rest of his goods movable & unmovable whatsoever

Henry & Margt being under age & incapable to undertake the Charges, Cath is Sworn Executrix in Form of Law.  And also Overseer of the other two.  She has given pledges ... of the will

Feb 2nd 1753.  Henry & Margt Kaighin two of the Exs within named being come to lawfull years this day and ... to have received from their Sister Cath now the wife of Thos Fayle Cannell all their prop? of Goods due by the ... of their father John Kaighin.  ... aquit & discharges her their sd Sister & her Exs forever for the same.
