was found on Brian Lawson’s website] In the name
of God Amen The last
will and testament of Jane Radcliffe of the parish of KK Andreas who being
weak in body but sound in mind and memory at the making hereof First: I
commit my soul to God and my body to Christian burial. Secondly: I
leave one shilling and six pence British each to my children as legacy. Thirdly: I
leave and bequeath to my grand daughter Mary Corris
a spinning wheel as legacy. Fourthly: I
leave and bequeath to my grand daughter Jane Corkan
five shillings British as legacy. I leave one
shilling each to the witnesses. Lastly: I
nominate constitute and appoint my loving husband William Radcliffe whole and
sole executor all the rest of my goods moveable and immovable of what nature
so ever in witness hereof I have set
my name and mark this six day of January 1827. Jane

Court holden at Ramsey on the 27th day of May 1836 William
Radcliffe the executor in the foregoing will named is sworn in court in form
of law well and truly to execute the last will and testament of Jane
Radcliffe deceased to pay all her just debts and legacies so far as the goods
and effects will extend and the law bind him, and to do all other acts and
things pertaining to the office of executor according to law and to these
ends has given pledges namely William Kneen and
Thomas Radcliffe witnesses of the will Probatum est Dan
